Cave Lake State Park

Cave Lake State Park is one of Nevada's most beautiful natural treasures. Situated 15 miles southeast of Ely on 32 acres of land,it is very popular for wonderful trout fishing and many other enjoyable outdoor activities. It is located near Humboldt National Forest, and sits at an elevation of 7300 feet.
Activities
There are activities for everyone at Cave Lake State Park, depending on their personal outdoor preferences. People love to go trout fishing, hiking, picnicking, camping and boating. During the winter, many people enjoy the snow that falls in the area. This makes it a popular location for ice fishing and ice skating, in addition to snow sculpting. Snowmobiling is not allowed inside of the park, however.
Amenities
Elk Flat Campground and Lake View Campground are the two camping areas in the state park. They all have fire pits, picnic tables and parking. There is also a Yurt, which is a round Mongolian tent, available for rent. There are many areas for picnicking, and these include restrooms, tables, grills and water. There are several docks around the lake for boaters and two developed trails for hiking. The park offers many programs, depending on staffing. There is also a ranger station available, although staffing is intermittent. There are no land line phones in the park and cell phone service is not always available.
