Caving

Camping

Goshute Canyon Wilderness Study Area has campsites available. These are not modern campsites with electrical hook-ups and restrooms, but are primitive, simple campsites for campers seeking a true "back to nature" experience.

Recreation

Fishing for Bonneville cutthroat trout is popular at Goshute Creek. Hiking, backpacking and horseback riding are also popular recreational activities in the Goshute Canyon Wilderness Study Area. Horseback riders need to make sure any feed they bring is certified weed-free. Hunting is permitted, as is non-commercial trapping in the wilderness as long as there is compliance with all local laws. Goshute Canyon is a great area for bird watching and photographing local wildlife. Mule deer, bobcats, mountain lions and a variety of predatory bird species live in the Goshute Canyon.

Goshute Canyon Wilderness Study Area is an excellent get-away destination if you seek solitude. Although Goshute Canyon does not offer modern amenities, it does offer an unparalleled view of nature undisturbed, and an opportunity for fun and geological study in the Goshute Caves.
