Visiting these caves is like visiting another world, in that you are submerged in a reality unlike our day-to-day one. The Lehman Caves are located in the Great Basin National Park.
When to visit
The best times to visit the Lehman Caves are during the winter months, as it is packed during the summer and is quite hot outside of it. You most likely have the tour guide to yourself while you are there during the winter, so you can ask questions uninterrupted.
Different tours
There are three different tours offered to the general public. There is the lodge room tour, which is about 60 minutes long and is an estimated length of 0.4 miles. The Grand Palace tour is about 90 minutes long and covers 0.6 miles. The final tour is the candlelight tour, where you are accompanied by park rangers at night. This tour covers the lodge room tour, but there is no lighting in the cave or flashlights allowed. Instead, you use a candlelit lantern to guide you through.
