Spring Valley State Park

At Spring Valley State Park, you can enjoy the great outdoors through fishing, swimming, hiking and much more. Located 20 miles east of Pioche, this outdoor recreation area is open all year round and is home to Eagle Valley Reservoir, one of the more popular attractions of the park. Aside from the water life, there are campgrounds, picnicking areas and several hiking trails for individuals of all ages to enjoy.
Eagle Valley Reservoir
Eagle Valley Reservoir is 59 acres of water haven. The reservoir is a sport fishery filled largely with rainbow trout. Additionally, there is a boat ramp located on the reservoir's south shore, making your fishing excursion simple and more enjoyable.
Camping
There are two campgrounds located within Spring Valley State Park. Horsethief Gulch Campground offers 37 campsites equipped with a table and grill. There is no need to bring your own water, as water is available to all campers. There is also three restrooms located around the campground, along with two shower facilities. Additionally, Ranch Campground is located two miles from Horsethief Gulch Campground. There are seven campsites available at this camp area, each with a table and grill.
Hiking and picnicking
Exploring the great outdoors is always a favorite pastime while visiting a state park. Spring Valley State Park offers several trails surrounding Eagle Valley Reservoir and connecting to Ranch Campground. There are also eight picnic areas next to the boat dock.
Spring Valley State Park gives you a taste of the outdoors, while you still enjoy several modern amenities. Bring your fishing gear and spend a day relaxing on the reservoir, or spend the night under the stars while camping.
